Police in Uganda have launched a search for flamboyant male socialite Charles Obalim, known to many as Sipapa.
According to police report, Sipapa found himself in a web of controversy after stealing KSh 50.4 million from a South Sudanese businessman, Jacob Arok.

Howwe.biz reported that Jacob Arok is a resident of Bunga area in Kampala, Uganda.
The Kenya Times understands the businessman and his family were raided and robbed on the night of August 28, 2022.

Confirmed reports from Uganda intimate that Sipapa found himself in the whole melee after a phone stolen during the loot was tracked to his residence in Buwaate, Kira municipality, Uganda.
In a bid to get a hold of Sipapa, police arrested his girlfriend identified as Shamirah even as the investigations continues.

This, it should be noted is not the first time Sipapa is involving police in cat and mouse game.
The Kenya Times has learnt the socialite recently became a subject of discussions after police ordered his vehicles to be impounded.
In an earlier report filed by different media platforms, Uganda’s Inspector General of Police Okoth Martin Ochola directed the Traffic Police Director to impound vehicles belonging to Sipapa for becoming a menace on the road.
“The matter was brought to the attention of Inspector General of Police. It has been well accepted and instructions to the police Traffic and Road Safety Director to ensure that the vehicle is traced wherever it is,” Uganda Police Spokesperson Enanga was quoted by a local website.
The directive was initiated after Sipapa was severally accused of knocking down and bullying other users on the road.
