Former Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama has slammed internet trolls who doctored a photo of himself with the Bahati’s family portrait.
While reacting to the viral photo, which had several other celebrities merged including musician KRD the Don and content creator Abel Mutua, Wanyama called for a stop to the debate.
Moreover, the footballer through his Twitter account demanded that Kenyans stop making conclusions about him being the biological father of one of Bahati’s children.
“This foolishness needs to stop now,” he wrote.

The photo went viral on various social media platforms with users tagging the footballer to the altered image.
Nonetheless, Kenyans online reacted to his response with some saying he should have ignored the image.
Twitter User Barvin Yuri wrote, “I would have ignored it if I were you. It was already fading away. Now blogs across the world are going to pick this up and share it even more. It was a trap to get you to respond and you fell for it.”
User Muthoni Njakwe said, “Just ignore. The more you talk about it, the more tweeps will keep posting. The best thing is to completely ignore it.”
Others further trolled him making fun of him alleging that he looks like Morgan Bahati, the eldest of the Bahati siblings.
“Look closely at Victor Wanyama and look closely at Diana’s elder son,” User Didmus tweeted.
Victor Wanyama and Diana Bahati
This is not the first time Kenyans online are linking Victor Wanyama to Bahati’s adopted son.
The saga started when a photo featuring Diana and Wanyama in 2020 surfaced online.
Thereafter, hawk-eyed netizens alleged that there was a striking resemblance between Bahati’s adopted son and Victor Wanyama, sparking a fierce debate.
However, while responding to rumors that she had a romantic involvement with the footballer, Diana Marua clarified that the private selfie photo with Wanyama was taken on a day they spent time together with mutual friends.
“Guys, I met Victor through a mutual friend, and we happened to hang out,” Diana explained.
“So that translated to us taking selfies and group photos, and Kenyans on Twitter, you guys chose not to pick the group photo, but you chose to highlight the selfie photo,” she said on her YouTube channel.

Bahati’s Family Portrait
The Bahati’s recently posted family pictures as they celebrated the birthday of the youngest son.
Bahati penned an emotional message promising to always support his son and provide everything for him.
“My promise to you as you turn four is that I will always be here to support your dreams. I will always work hard to give a life that I never had and above all I will give you the best gift that a father can ever give to his son… I will always believe in you MJ.”
The dedication was a collage of family portraits dressed in all-black outfits.
