Mathare Member of Parliament, Antony Oluoch was on Thursday, July 20, reportedly whisked away in a vehicle with Tanzanian number plates.
In a statement, Azimio la Umoja TV, claimed the incident occurred at a filling station near Junction Mall along Ngong Road while fueling his car.
According to the opposition, several Subaru vehicles were at the scene.
“It remains unclear where he has been taken to, we will keep you updated,” Azimio TV sent out the alert at 8:29pm.
Oluoch, a seasoned lawyer, is also a close ally of the opposition chief Raila Odinga with reports that police may have detained him to deflect Azimio protests.

This comes after police arrected Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino on Tuesday 18 July, under unclear circumstances.
Detectives arrested Babu at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, before driving him to a remote police station in Kirinyaga County.
After his lawyers and the family mounted pressure, police produced Babu Owino at the Milimani Law Courts on Thursday, July 20. He was charged with “conspiring to commit subversive activities”.
Other Azimio Leader Arrested
ODM’s Director of Communication Philip Etale claimed that Makadara MP George Aladwa was arrested at Kilimani on Tuesday evening.
Raila Odinga’s spokesperson Dennis Onyango, who was arrested when police officers raided Odinga’s home along Mbagathi Way, Kilifi South MP Ken Chonga, his aide Victor Katana, and Kilifi County Speaker Teddy Mwambire.
Additionally, there is Wilfred Olalo, Hudson Onyango, Eric Otieno and Antony Otsyula.
Raila Odinga’s said his driver Maurice Ogeta was released.
Raila die hard supporter Calvin Okoth Otieno, popular as ‘Gaucho’, was also arrested.
Gaucho made a statement before the planned resumption of anti-government protests called by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga, daring government officials he accused of threatening Azimio leader.

Babu Owino in Court
The court will on Friday, July 21, rule on Babu Owino’s bail application.
Owino, a controversial politician, was arraigned at Milimani Law courts together with Calvin Okoth Otieno alias ‘Gaucho’, who stirred an online backlash after slaughtering a goat in full glare of camera and licked its raw blood.
While appearing in court on Thursday, the State challenged a bid by lawyers representing the accused persons to have them released on bail citing national security concerns.
Moreover, the lawyers representing the seven accused persons cited Article 49 of the Constitution which requires the state to produce arrested persons to court” as soon reasonably possible, but not later than twenty-four hours after arrest.”
Azimio protests
Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday, July 20 maintained that Friday’s anti-government protests would go on.
According to the ODM leader, the protests would be mother of all as the Azimio team concludes three days of demonstrations.
Speaking to the media, Odinga assured his supporters that Azimio principals are still working together. He further explained that he was battling a bad flu, which could not allow him to attend the demos.
