The Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) has penned a moving tribute to the late Bishop Allan Kiuna who died on Tuesday July 9, 2024.
Bishop Kiuna died at a Nairobi hospital while receiving treatment after a long battle with cancer.
JCC in a statement shared by the deceased’s wife, Reverend Kathy Kiuna on July 9 described the televangelist as an extraordinary man who touched the lives of many and had a great passion for ministering not just locally but globally.
“Bishop Allan Kiuna, the general overseer and founder of Jubilee Christian Church was not only a spiritual leader but also a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend,” reads the statement in part.
“As a church and as a family, we appreciate the outpouring of love and support, especially from our church family.”
The Church also stated that his unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to the church and community have left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
The JCC community further requested privacy as they go through the challenging time of mourning and reflection.
“With humility, we kindly ask for privacy during this time of mourning. Please let us respect the family’s need for space and quiet reflection,” the statement reads further.

The pastor has been battling cancer for a long time and had been out of the country for the better part of 2023, seeking treatment in the United States.
Bishop Allan Kiuna Battling with Cancer
Rev. Kathy Kiuna back in 2019 disclosed that the JCC founder had been diagnosed with the cancer in the previous year.
Kiuna was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer in 2018/2019. Multiple myeloma occurs when abnormal plasma cells build up in the bone marrow and form tumors in the bones.
In 2022, Bishop Kiuna sought further treatment in the United States, where he ended up spending a year. Upon his return last year, he announced that he had won the battle against the disease.
During a thanksgiving service held at his Nairobi church on December 10, 2023, he declared himself cancer-free, further revealing that his treatment cost over $3 million (nearly Ksh. 460 million at that time).

JCC Announces Memorial Services
Additionally, the JCC Church mentioned that more information will be provided regarding funeral arrangements in the coming days.
However, JCC said it has organized a series of memorial services to celebrate and remember Bishop Allan Kiuna’s memory and legacy for a period of five days.
On Wednesday, 10th July to Friday, 12th July 2024 there will be evening services that will be held at JCC Parklands from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Furthermore, on Saturday, 13th July 2024, the church shall have another service which will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Likewise on Sunday July 14, 2024, a special worship service will take place starting at 9:00 AM.
JCC was launched in January 1999 by the visionaries Bishop Kiuna and his wife Reverend Kathy.
