The family of the late actor Charles ‘Charli’ Ouda has shared a comprehensive itinerary for the events leading up to his final farewell.
Released in a WhatsApp group dedicated for coordinating his burial rites, the schedule reveals that Charles will be laid to rest on February 15, with a family-only cremation at Kariokor crematorium.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support, the family extended appreciation to those who have shown solidarity to Charles’ fiancé Ciru Muriuki, siblings Clement, Philip, David, Elizabeth, Selina, and the entire Ouda family.
“As we approach the final preparations for the homecoming of our beloved Charli, amidst the challenges of this season, we are immensely grateful for the overwhelming love and support extended to us.
“We wish to extend our deepest appreciation to all who have shown solidarity, love, and compassion; particularly to Charli’s Fiancé Ciru Muriuki, his siblings Clement, Philip, David, Elizabeth, Selina, and the entire Ouda Family,” reads part of statement.
The statement further went on to provide specific details regarding dates, times, and locations for the upcoming rites, as the family prepares to give their beloved a final farewell.
Charles’ Send Off Schedule
The family invites friends and relatives to participate in the funeral arrangements at the family residence on 63 Mukabi Rd in Loresho.
The detailed schedule includes:
A fundraiser scheduled for February 13, 2024, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Higher Trinity room at All Saints Cathedral.

Further, the cortege will depart from Chiromo Funeral Home on February 14, 2024, for an overnight vigil at the family home.
On February 15, a church service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Cathedral, followed by last rites at Kariokor for immediate family members.
The family also expressed their deep appreciation for the presence and support received during this challenging time and thanked everyone for standing with them in honoring and celebrating Charli’s life.
“Your presence and support during this time are deeply appreciated as we honor and celebrate the life of Charli. Thank you for standing with us in this moment of grief,” read the rest of the statement.
Family’s Appeal for Support and Daily Prayer Meetings
Earlier this week, the family expressed their intention to honor the late actor Charles ‘Charlie’ Ouda with a send-off that reflects his significant contributions to the entertainment industry.
A statement issued through a WhatsApp group created by Charlie’s friends emphasized the family’s commitment to providing him a dignified farewell.

Well-wishers were encouraged to contribute to Charlie’s funeral arrangements by making donations to the pay bill number 8056315, using their name as the account number.
Additionally, daily prayers are being held at Charlie’s family home in Loresho starting at 17:30.
Charle’s Ouda died on February 3 leaving both fans and friends shocked at the sudden demise.
The family is yet to reveal the cause of death.
