The Government of Hungary and China have offered Kenyans 218 slots for scholarships in various institutions in the respective nations.
In a notice issued to the Ministry of Education, the Government of Hungary indicated that it was offering 200 slots to eligible Kenyans for the undergraduate, Masters, One-Tier Masters (OTM) and PhD studies.
Additionally, the notice stated that the slots were in different institutions in the Central Europe nation.
Notably, the notice added that online applications for the scholarships would be open from November 15, 2023, for interested Kenyans to apply.

Details of the Hungary Scholarship for Kenyans
Subsequently, the announcement stated that the students will be supported under the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship and the Students at Risk Subprogram.
In addition, applicants were requested to carefully read through the application conditions and requirements, especially the special conditions that applied to them.
The applications are for the academic year 2024/2025 and application documents will be released on the Hungarian academic website at stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/

Details of Scholarships in China
At the same time, the Chinese Government has offered 18 Scholarships slots to eligible Kenyans for Undergraduate, master’s and PhD studies.
For the undergraduate program, the notice noted that applicants ought to have scored a minimum of B plain in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
exams.

Also, applicants ought to be below 25 years of age.
On the other hand, for the master’s program, applicants ought to be below 35 years of age and have attained a second class upper in their bachelor’s degree.
For PhD applications, interested persons ought to be below 40 years of age and have attained a master’s degree from a recognized institution.
How to Apply for China Scholarship
Kenyans can apply for the scholarships by filling in the application documents provided at the official website of the China Scholarship Council at http://www.campuschina.org.
Once at the website, applicants were instructed to navigate to “Scholarship Application for Students,” and create an account.
Later, select Type A under the program category and use Agency Number 4041. Further, for a list of available universities and courses, applicants can refer to http://www.campuschina.org/universities/index.html.
“The application documents should reach the Ministry not later than December 8, 2023 by 5pm,” said the notice.
