Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Susan Nakhumicha on Saturday, July 29 called for the immediate transfer of the OCS of Matisi within Trans Nzoia County, over increased cases of insecurity in his area of jurisdiction.
Addressing mourners in Saboti, Trans-Nzoia County, where she hails, the CS maintained that she needed no permission from anyone in government to order the transfer of the said police officer.
“In the government that I serve, we apply a technique called one government approach.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki must not be physically present here to transfer an OCS. I am a CS in President William Ruto’s government and I hereby order that the County Commander ensures that Matisi OCS leaves by evening Sunday, July 30, “she said.
CS Nakhumicha said she would report to Prof Kindiki the action she took emphasizing that it was not a laughing matter.
Nakhumicha was speaking during the burial of Joseph Marango in Trans Nzoia County.
According to reports, Marango, a popular bouncer in Kitale died during the Azimio anti-government protests that rocked various parts of the country.

It was reported that unknown attackers knifed Marango also known as Terminator, while extinguishing a fire that protesters had lit.
Nakhumicha Mourns Kitale Bouncer
CS Nakhumicha praised the Late Marango describing him as an industrious man and a role model to many people in Tranns Nzoia County.
“I joined the residents of Lukhuna, Matisi in Trans Nzoia County for the final interment of Joseph Simiyu Marango, popularly known as Terminator,” she said.
Further she stated that Marango was brutally murdered by thugs and directed the police to take action.
“I urge the security personnel within the area to ensure the culprits are apprehended and brought to book.
The security of all Trans Nzoia residents and, indeed, that of all Kenyans is a fundamental right,” she concluded.

Earlier while mourning Marango, area Senator Allan Chesang condemned the violence.
“Some have lost lives like my dear friend Joseph Marango aka (Terminator) from Matisi Kitale, May their souls rest in peace. Some are fighting for their lives in hospitals, many have been victims of this violence in different ways, and many properties have been destroyed,” Chesang eulogized the bouncer.
CS Nakhumicha holds a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Management, a master’s degree in Logistics, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management, and a PhD. in Business Management from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
In the run up to the 2022 polls, she vied for the Trans-Nzoia Woman Representative seat on a Ford Kenya party ticket.
