The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has published the names and photos of thirty-five wanted terror suspects linked to Al-Shabaab.
In a statement on Wednesday, October 18, DCI appealed to members of the public to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of thirty-five armed and dangerous terror suspects.
Further, DCI explained that the suspects are part of the Al-shabaab terror network and are responsible for planning and orchestrating the deadly terrorist attacks and violence in Lamu County and the larger Boni Enclave.
“The suspects are ordered to surrender to any Police Station in Kenya immediately. A substantial cash reward will be offered to any member of the public who provides credible information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects,” read the statement in part.
Information on the whereabouts of any of the suspects may be channeled confidentially to the anonymous #FichuakwaDCI Hotline number 0800 722 203 or the police hotline number 999.
Moreover, the identity of the thirty-five Al-shabaab linked terrorists are contained in the DCI poster above.

This announcement came a day after Interior CS Kithure Kindiki said the photographs and identity of the suspects will be published on mainstream media and on the DCI and Interior Ministry Social media platforms.
In statement, Kindiki also promised a cash reward for individuals who provide helpful information about Al-Shabaab militants in Lamu County and Boni area.
“The suspects, whose photographs will be circulated in the mainstream print media and posted on official online platforms of the Interior Ministry and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) tomorrow 18th October 2023, are ordered to surrender to any Police Station within the Republic of Kenya immediately,” added Kindiki.

Further, Kindiki appealed to the public to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of thirty-five masterminds of the terror network responsible for the deadly terrorist attacks in the two regions.
“A substantial cash reward is on offer to any person who provides credible information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects,” he said.
In addition, the CS Kindiki said other measures and strategies have been put in place to win the war against terror in Lamu County, the Boni Enclave and elsewhere in the entire Republic.
