Drama ensued in Parliament after Kisumu East Member of Parliament (MP) Shakeel Shabbir was whisked away by parliamentary staff for protesting the Finance Bill.
Footage seen by The Kenya Times showed him holding up a white placard in protest while moving through the house.
He is then seen running while displaying the card as security tail him trying to take it from his grip. The MP then runs away from the camera’s field of view as other members of parliament cheer in solidarity.
Preliminary reports indicate that the Kisumu East MP was ejected from the House shortly after.
