Biography
Francis Gaitho is a well-known figure in both local and international football circles. He hails from Thika.
Gaitho is chronicled as being among the officials who prepared Kenya’s winning bid for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament hosting rights. Later the rights were withdrawn by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) an act that was attributed to the lack of quality stadiums.

Francis Gaitho is an independent sports professional and a political and football commentator. He is also a vocal political activist. Francis, a football expert, started his political activism career on TikTok where he shared videos discussing various issues.
Later Francis moved to X, where he has also been sharing threads and videos calling out President William Ruto and his administration on cases of abductions.
Currently, Gaitho’s influence on X commands a followership of close to 100,000 followers, especially during the recent political events in the country.
In addition, Francis is an internationally renowned football operative based in Thika.
In 2022, Francis vied for Thika Town’s constituency parliamentary seat as an independent candidate although he was overtaken by Alice Ng’ang’a.

Francis Faces Court Charges
Francis Ng’ang’a has been arrested and arraigned in court before for allegations of publishing false information contrary to the Law.
In this case, he was particularly accused of publishing false information and cyber harassment in his tweets on the Githurai and Rongai massacres and missing people.
However, Francis denied the said charges at the Milimani Law Courts and was released on Ksh 30,000 cash bail.
