The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has announced the nationwide recruitment of 10,000 police officers.
NPSC said the recruitment will run from Friday, October 3, to Thursday, October 9, 2025.
Interested candidates have been asked to download and fill out the prescribed application form available on the NPSC, KPS, and DCI websites.
Candidates will undergo verification and the designated recruitment centres, and the successful will proceed for training to become police officers.
Police training colleges in Kenya include National Police College – Kiganjo Campus, National Police College – Embakasi A Campus, National Police College – Embakasi B Campus, National Police College – Magadi Field Campus, Boarder Police Training Campus, National Police Service Staff College – Emali Campus, National Police Service Senior Staff College – Loresho Campus, and National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA)

Successful candidates should always check their phone for SMS or email for a message from NPSC.
The Commission usually sends a notification informing successful candidates of the reporting date, training college, and address.
Candidates can also check the NPSC website (npsc.go.ke) and their official social media handles for announcements.
- Recruitment / Application Portal
Candidates can also obtain this information from the NPSC recruitment portal.
They can always check the status of their application on the portal.
Here, it is possible to check whether one has been shortlisted or selected to join the National Police Service (NPS).
You can check the details from NPSC, including the assigned training centre.
Recruitment call letter/admission letter
After the interviews, successful candidates are issued admission letters as proof of selection.
These letters contain all the details regarding the training, including the centre.
They should carry them to the training centres.
