Former Chief Justice David Maraga has called on Kenyans to register as members of the United Green Movement (UGM) party.
David Maraga stated that the party can reset Kenya and meet the aspirations of Kenyan citizens.
“Looking for a political party which carries the aspirations of Kenyans? Look no further,” the statement read.
Kenyans are urged to join the party by registering as members of the UGM and working together to change Kenya.

One must dial *509# and follow the prompts to register.
Dialing the USSD code is not a free service; charges apply to complete the call.
After dialing, one is welcomed to the office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) mobile service and required to review the privacy commitment statement to proceed.
Select option 1 to show you have reviewed as required. Enter your first name as it appears on the Identification Card.
Select the type of identification document, where option 1 is for the National ID, and option 2 is for the passport.
After identifying the document, you enter the identification number and select your gender.
A prompt to confirm the name, identification number, gender, and identification document type will be displayed.
If the details are correct, press 1 to confirm and continue the registration process.
A unique pin from the ORPP is sent to the user’s mobile phone. The message from the ORPP also contains the date and time.

Repeat the dialing code, then enter the PIN sent to you. Option 1 is for membership, and Option 2 is for the account.
Select option 1. Under this option, you can see the membership status, join a party, or resign from a party.
Individuals registering to be members of the UGM party should select the join the party option and enter their county and constituency code.
In addition to the codes, select the Ward, then search for the party’s name using either the full name or an abbreviation, and become a registered party member.

David Maraga is the former Chief Justice (CJ) of Kenya, serving from 2016 to 2021.
He was born on January 12, 1951. He attended Sironga DEB Primary School from 1961 to 1967.
Attended Maranda High School from 1968 to 1971, then proceeded to Kisii High School from 1972 to 1973, completing his East African Advanced Certificate of Education (A Level).
From 1974 to 1977, he pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB – Hons.) at the University of Nairobi and attended the Kenya School of Law from 1977 to 1978, where he earned a Postgraduate Diploma.
David Maraga is to be the president of the Republic of Kenya to help change and meet the aspirations of Kenyans through the UGM party.
