American content creator IShowSpeed’s helicopter flight over Nairobi on Sunday provided millions online with a first look at Talanta Stadium, Nairobi’s emerging sports landmark.
With Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) matches on the horizon, the 60,000-seat facility reflects Kenya’s ambition to integrate world-class sports infrastructure with urban development.
President William Ruto welcomed the streamer: “Kenya is not just another country; Kenya is a pulse, a feeling. Kenya is home. This is Magical Kenya.”
On her part, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano said Speed’s tour offers more than entertainment.
“Magical Kenya shines as IShowSpeed tours Africa, turning our story into a real-time experience. He is reshaping Kenya’s image from safari hub to a melting pot of cultures, vibrant cities, great cuisine, amazing people and adventure. Indeed, we are the Origin of Wonder.”

At the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, Speed drew online attention after naming a baby rhinoceros “Rhinaldo,” a decision made live by his audience.
The moment typified the reach of his tour, which added more than 360,000 subscribers and offered a real-time portrayal of Kenya that challenged long-held stereotypes about Africa.
That global exposure is now intersecting with national ambition. Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) Chief Executive Officer June Chepkemei said Talanta Stadium is central to that vision.
“Talanta Stadium is fast becoming a defining landmark for Nairobi and a powerful catalyst for Kenya’s sports tourism… This is a story that goes beyond safaris and beaches to vibrant cities, rich culture, and bold new urban experiences… a first-world Kenya in the making,” she said.
