Kenyatta University (KU) and the National Defence University have announced job opportunities.
In a job advertisement dated Thursday, June 5, the higher learning institutions called on qualified candidates to apply.
On its part, Kenyatta University seeks to recruit “competent and dedicated individuals” to fill positions including a Professor, an Associate Professor, a Senior Lecturer, and a Lecturer, all in the Department of Construction and Real Estate Management.

In the Department of Fine Arts and Design, Kenyatta University is looking to fill positions including a Lecturer and a Tutorial Fellow.
Additionally, the following positions have been advertised in the Directorate of Security Services:
- Senior Security Officer (Investigation) Grade E/F.
- Security Officer (Investigation) Grade A/B.
- Security Officer-Radio Operation Grade A/B.
- Firefighting Supervisor Grade A/B.
- Firefighter Grade III/IV.
- Fire-Engine Driver Grade III/IV.
- Security Guard Grade III/IV.
In the Directorate of University Health Services, a position for Senior Care Management Assistant has been advertised, while the position of Animal Care Technician Grade A/B was advertised in the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology.
At the same time, the University advertised for the following positions at the Northcoast Beach Hotel within the institution:
- Executive Chef.
- Food and Beverage Manager.
- Front Office Manager.
- Banqueting Superviso.
- Head Marketer.
- Waiter/Waitress.
The terms of service include a medical scheme, house allowance, and commuting allowance.

National Defence College Declare Job Opportunities
Elsewhere, the National Defence University announced several vacancies within the institution, calling on competent individuals to apply for the advertised positions.

(d) Clearances from the following bodies:
(1) Kenya Revenue Authority.
(ii) Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
iii) Higher Education Loans Board.
(iv) Any of the Registered Credit Reference Bureaus.
(v) Directorate of Criminal investigations (Police Clearance Certificate)
(e) Letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for any degree obtained from foreign universities, and recommendations from relevant professional bodies (where applicable).
