Details of Meru MCA Trip to India and Marriage Proposal
But this was not the first time the MCA found himself in the limelight over his lifestyle.
Earlier, on December 25, Kiogora announced his proposal to his girlfriend, who she revealed was Carol, on his Facebook page.
Their photo went viral on social media with Kenyans from different walks expressing their opinions.
In his statement, Kipogora explained that he proposed on top of the Taj Mahal, the historic table, as it was a symbol of love that was built 400 years ago.
“She said yes and gave me the best Christmas of my life! The TAJ MAHAL! An enduring symbol of Eternal Love that was built 400 years ago by Shah Jahan, in loving memory to his wife Muhtaza Mahal who died giving birth to their child.
“India is very beautiful and we like visiting places that are not popular with many people. Ká Tö, with you, I found my missing rib! We will build our monument for ages,” he wrote.
Additionally, in the message, he explained that despite the fact that many Kenyans went to India for medical treatment, he thought the country was very beautiful and a great tourist destination.

Kiogora Shares Tips and Facts about Visiting India
A few days later, he announced that the trip was coming to an end, sharing tips and facts about India that he had learnt throughout his vacation.
Notably, the MCA indicated that “for explorers, India is a big and beautiful country to visit especially the ancient temples and magnificent tombs and forts of the Mughal empire rulers.”
Also, he indicated that alcohol was expensive because it is overtaxed adding that a bottle of four cousins wine goes for KSh8,000.
In addition, he noted that VAT in India is 25% therefore items were expensive here adding that roads and infrastructure were highly developed.
“I have liked their city metro. Petrol prices are same as Kenya. Pollution is real here from rivers to air! It’s bad. There is smog so one cannot see far. It’s brought by farmers burning vegetation, dust and smoke pollution.
“Religion is everything here. It’s part of life in politics, education, family and business. Hinduism and its many gods are revered and it’s the predominant religion,” added the politician.
