Millicent Ng’etich is the current Company Secretary of four companies namely the Standard Group PLC, Sasini PLC, Sameer Africa PLC and Nairobi Business Ventures.
She is an accomplished corporate lawyer with over 15 years of experience in corporate governance, legal advisory, policy development, and risk management.
In addition, Ng’etich has a proven track record of successfully supporting a range of corporate entities through complex legal matters and business operations.
Specializing in strategic and solution-oriented legal counsel, Millicent offers comprehensive guidance across areas including mergers and acquisitions, asset management, finance, policy compliance, procurement, and cost optimization.
She works closely with corporate leadership to provide timely, actionable legal support and is instrumental in dispute resolution, monitoring evolving legislation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ng’etich has been the head of the legal/ company secretary for the Standard Group PLC since 2015 where she used to monitor internal processes and company and board operations to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
From 2014 to 2015, the lawyer also worked at Unilever East Africa as Legal Counsel.
Between 2012-2014 she worked as a legal affairs manager. In addition, she served as a senior legal officer from 2010-2012 in the same company.

- Developed the board Charter at Kenya seed company, thus streamlining corporate governance by stipulating board and board committee roles and obligations.
- Streamlined risk management operations at Kenya Seed Company by developing and monitoring a Risk Register for the Legal Department. This resulted in enhanced rigour in the execution of legal processes and operations.
