Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has once again divided Kenyans on social media with one of his tech “skills”.
Sonko, a regular social media user on Monday, September 12, shared a video demo of a person unlocking a locked phone, without using the passcode.
In his usual demeanor, the wealthy politician wittingly said he was out to help women catch their cheating husbands by accessing their mobile phones without the owners’ knowledge.
The former governor shared a USSD code and procedure on how to perform the aforementioned.
”Leo wacha nisaidie wamama na madem. Kama chali yako or your hubby amelala fofofo na anangorota chukua simu yake press the emergency button then press *885*#96* then long press 5 lock the phone again wait for 2 secs it will automatically unlock.” Sonko captioned the video.

While his “help” caught the attention of many who confirmed the procedure works, it also got others questioning the legitimacy of the whole process.
The comments section of Sonko’s post was filled with varied opinions from different sides, with quite a multitude asking the politician to stick to politics.
The Kenya Times cannot authoritatively confirm if indeed if the procedure works but leaves it to you, at your own risk.
This is not the first time the politician has been entertaining Kenyans with his posts on social media.
Mike Sonko has countless times made awkward posts, leaving his followers wondering if he had turned into a blogger.
The critics, however, have never been able to dampen Sonko’s spirits or kill his vibe online as he has kept saying it as is and posting whatever as he wishes.
After all, it is his social media pages, no?
