Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NCWSC) has issued a public notice to landlords and customers with illegal water connections, giving them a 30-day ultimatum to regularize their connections.

In a statement dated April 1, the company indicated that failure to comply by April 30, 2025, will result in consequences for those found to be in violation.

“Applicable penalties will be waived for customers who voluntarily regularize their water connections on or before Wednesday, April 30, 2025. After that date, any customer found with an illegal water connection will be charged and prosecuted, in addition to being required to pay any applicable fines and penalties,” the statement read.
