Fresh details have emerged regarding the disappearance of Wajir Member of County Assembly (MCA) Yussuf Hussein Ahmed, who went missing on September 13, 2024. Speaking in a media interview, activist Bob Njagi, who was also a former abductee, alleged that he was locked up in the same location as the missing Wajir MCA.
“We may laugh about this matter sometimes, but I want to say here that the MCA for Wajir County, who was later found murdered, was actually in the room next to where I was.

I had the opportunity to peep through the keyhole, and I saw him,” Njagi said.

“On the night he was brought in, I remember very well that it was Friday, September 13, because I was keeping track of the dates since the day of my abduction. I noticed that someone had been brought in the middle of the night, which was unusual, and the room he was taken to was next to mine,” Njagi narrated.
“Through my own investigations, I found out that he was of Somali origin. Immediately after being released, I conducted my own search and realized that on the same day—Friday, September 13—a man was abducted on Enterprise Road, and that was the same man who was brought to where we were held.”

Njagi further stated that when his abductors released him, the Wajir MCA was still alive, only for him to later learn that the MCA’s body had allegedly been found mutilated and dumped in Wajir.
“I can say without fear of contradiction that when we left, we left him there. Later on, I heard that his body was found mutilated and dumped in Wajir,” the activist claimed.
