Popular Mugithi Artist Samuel Muchoki, commonly known by many as Samidoh, has broken the sexual assault allegations levelled against him.
In a social media post on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the Mugithi Artist shared a cryptic message stating that he will not bow down to threats.
“A spine that bends to threats will never stand tall in freedom,” Samidoh stated.
Samidoh Says He Won’t Be Intimidated by Threats
Samidoh’s response comes hours after a woman sued him for alleged sexual assault, an act she says dates back to an encounter they had in 2021 when the the artist was in the United States of America (USA).
The lady who filed the case on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, before High Court Judge Lawrence Mugambi, argued through her lawyer, Sunday Memba, that she continues to suffer as her rights are being violated.

Her lawyer added that digital evidence could be tampered with or lost, and warned that the former police officer she accuses could try to intimidate her or interfere with her witnesses.
“The subject of the petition is a sexual offence allegedly committed by the Interested Party, a Kenyan citizen, abroad, which, by virtue of section 41 of the Sexual Offences Act, No. 3 of 2006, is triable in Kenya as if committed within its territory. Delay in action by the Respondents undermines the Petitioner’s constitutional protection and frustrates enforcement of the statute,” said Memba.
Apart from suing musician Samidoh, the woman has also taken legal action against the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Inspector General of Police, the Director of Criminal Investigations, the Attorney General, and the Witness Protection Agency. She accuses them of failing to act on her complaint against Samidoh.
Woman Accuses Mugithi Musician of Alleged Rape
She claims the incident happened on November 28, 2021, when the Mugithi singer was in the United States for a show. According to her pleadings, Samidoh invited her to his rented room in Overland Park, Kansas, where he allegedly assaulted her.
The woman now wants the court to order the DCI to preserve her evidence and stop Samidoh from contacting her. She is also asking the Witness Protection Agency to review her case and offer her protection.

The celebrated Mugithi artist, Samuel Muchoki, who was also serving as a police officer, faced disciplinary action from the National Police Service before eventually resigning. The action arose from a video in which a crowd chanted “Wantam”—a politically charged slogan meaning “one term”—during one of his live performances.
He was transferred from his position at the Central Region Police Headquarters in Nairobi to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) headquarters in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
Later, he applied for anticipatory bail in court, fearing arrest after failing to report to his new station. He subsequently chose to resign, and his resignation was accepted by the Inspector General of Police.
