Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations – DCI have arrested Ann Akinyi Adhiambo, the main suspect in the murder of Eric Maigo, who was the Finance Director at the Nairobi Hospital.
An intelligence operation led to the capture of Adhiambo in Kibra, within Nairobi County, having been on the run since the murder of Maigo on September 15.
After her arrest, she was driven to Muthaiga Police Station and was to be moved to Kilimani Police Station, which was handling the case.

The arrest of Adhiambo came days after the DCI unmasked her identity and asked the public to volunteer information that would lead to her arrest.
“As detectives burn the midnight oil to arrest the female suspect, members of the public are requested to volunteer any information that may lead to his immediate arrest,” the DCI earlier stated.
Further, DCI recovered Adhiambo’s checkered shirt and animal print pants she donned on the evening that detectives suspect she committed the murder.
Police pounced on Ann Adhiambo around 8pm in Bombolulu area where she was hiding at a friend’s house.
Those who had spotted her earlier revealed that she walked around in a hood to conceal her identity.
Eric Maigo murder suspect arraignment
Police are set to present Ann Adhiambo in court on Wednesday, September 27.
On Monday, September 25, police released a woman who was arrested after they discovered that Maigo sent her Ksh650 hours before his demise.
DCI had earlier stated that the suspect is a minor aged between 15 and 17 years.

“She is said to have sat her KCPE examination at the Dagoretti approved school between 2021 and 2022.
“The suspect who has since been identified as Ann Adhiambo alias Nut, is currently on the run and is believed to be between 15 to 17 years old,” the DCI’s statement on September 24 read in part.
Erick Maigo was reported dead on Thursday, September 14 after police officers discovered his body lying next to two kitchen knives that had the same sets of fingerprints.
