Questions have emerged over the association of the late Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo, and the underage suspect the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) unveiled on Friday, September 22.
Following the revelation of the identity of the female teenage suspect on the run by the DCI on, Kenyans wondered how Maigo ended up in the company of the minor.
Additionally, many have raised concerns over the late finance director having the minor at his residence late at night.
CCTV footage recovered by the DCI showed the minor leaving Maigo’s house past 10:00 pm when he was said to have been murdered.
“What was Maigo doing with a child in his house at night,” Lawyer Miguna Miguna questioned on the social media platform X.
However, in response to Miguna, user Timothy Morris questioned why the minor was on the run instead of reporting any case of harassment by the deceased to the police.

“Then why is she on the run, she didn’t even take the obligation to report to the nearest police station,” he stated.
Additionally, in response to Miguna, George Njoroge noted that “if there are concerns or suspicions about his individual behavior, it’s essential to approach the relevant authorities with evidence rather than making public speculations.
Other Questions Raised About Eric Maigo Murder
Was he drugged?
Afte an autopsy, Chief government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor revealed that the attacker killed Eric Maigo without him making any effort to defend himself.
According to Oduor, this raised the question as to whether the victim was unconscious when the attack took place.
Some have argued that the suspects may have taken advantage of his vulnerability and colluded to kill him.
However, because the detectives noted that it could be a murder of passion, others have concluded that he must have known the three women.
“The facts provided don’t give a clear picture of the circumstances leading up to the event,” George Njoroge added in his statement on X.

What was the Motive of the Suspects?
Facts shared by detectives so far indicate that Maigo held a high and critical office at the Nairobi hospital and that no item was stolen from his apartment.
Some have wondered how the minor or the two other women were able to escape so easily from the residence arguing that neighbors should have alerted the security officers.
“If the neighbors raised an alarm with the security guards and even instructed the guards to make sure no one leaves the house.
“How come she jumped over the fence without the guards or neighbors noticing? The story is not adding up,” user Felix Amu stated.

The Murder Weapon
