Tech giant Samsung introduced a new era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), marking a groundbreaking moment with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series on January 17, 2024.
Comprising the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24, this series introduces a revolutionary feature – Galaxy AI, redefining the landscape of mobile AI.
“The Galaxy S24 series transforms our connection with the world and ignites the next decade of mobile innovation,” said TM Roh, President, and Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics.
Roh further stated that the Galaxy AI is built on the company’s innovation heritage and deep understanding of how people use their phones.
Galaxy AI is the heartbeat of the S24 series, elevating user experiences across the board from barrier-free communication with Interpreter to conversational tone perfection with Chat Assist.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Series
The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 6.8-inch* Ultra Display screen with enhanced QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display.
Camera features include 12MP Ultra-Wide, 200MP Wide, 50MP Telephoto, 10MP Telephoto and 12MP Front Cameras.

The phone also features a 12GB internal memory with storages varying from 1TB, 512GB and 256GB.
However, the storage options and availability may vary by carrier, country or region, with actual storage availability varying depending on pre-installed software.
Samsung S24 Ultra boasts a 5,000 mAh battery capacity, chargeable through both with a wired and Wireless Charging.
The phone also features a 5G*, LTE* network connectivity, Wi-Fi 7**, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 5.3 connection.
Additionally, the phone also water resistant, featuring an IP68 Water Resistance Rating.
According to Samsung, the rating is based on lab test conditions of submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
Galaxy S24+ and S24
Also launched was the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 series, containing almost similar product features.
Galaxy S24+ features a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display screen, 50MP Wide and 3x Optical Zoom Telephoto Cameras.
Memory and Storage options range from 8GB internal memory + 128GB internal storage to 12GB internal memory + 512GB internal storage.
S24+ phones feature a 4,900 mAh battery, with the phone chargeable through wired charging, up to 65% in around 30 mins and a fast Wireless Charging.
On the other hand, Galaxy S24 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display screen, 50MP Wide and 3x Optical Zoom Telephoto Cameras
Memory and storage options are similar to those of S24+ ranging from 8 + 128GB to 12 + 512GB.
The phone further features a 4,000 mAh battery, chargeable through wired charging up to 50% in around 30 mins and fast wireless Charging.
Pricing
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is available on Samsung’s official retail stores and Safaricom shops in Kenya.
For the prices, S24 (8GB+256GB) is set to retail starting from Ksh174,999, S24+(12GB + 256GB) from Ksh189,999 and S24+ (12GB+512GB) from Ksh234,999.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 Ultra (12GB+256GB) is set to retail from Ksh274,999, whereas the S24 Ultra(12GB+512GB) will retail from Ksh276,999.

Pre-orders are now available from January 18 to February 14, 2024, with Samsung adding amazing deals.
For those making a pre-order for the 256GB storage version of any of the S24 series, they stand a chance of a reward of the 512GB storage version of that phone.
Also, for pre-order from Safaricom shops, customers get 45GB of free data.
JTL Fiber’s subscribers aren’t left out as they will offer free 65GB data and free 50 minutes to other networks.
