Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has advised police officers regarding following illegal orders during demonstrations.
Speaking at a public Baraza held by Azimio la Umoja Coalition at Kamukunji grounds, Karua told police they should not accept to be used to punish Kenyans.
“You are our brothers and sisters; stop being used to hurt your fellow Kenyan. Stop obeying illegal orders,” she said.
Karua further alleged that police officers were acting on orders to kill Azimio leaders during the anti-government protests.

She also condoled families that lost loved ones during the protests, and the recent demons in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi county.
The Azimio running mate during the August 2022 elections added that the protests will continue until the cost of living is reduced.
“We are ready to protest peacefully and fight for our rights. We shall not relent until every Kenyan gets food on the table and Unga prices are down to Ksh. 100. Until school fees are reduced, and our children are back to school,” Karua said, adding that a number of university students are stuck at home due to lack of HELB funds.
She further accused the government of misappropriation of funds since subsidy funds had been approved in the budget.
