All governors-elect across the 45 counties will be sworn in on Thursday August 25,2022
The ceremonies will proceed if no petition is filed in court to stop them
The law requires a governor-elect to be sworn in on the first Thursday after the lapse of 10 days of being declared winner by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC)
According to the law, the swearing in of a governor-elect shall take place not earlier than 10am and not later than 2pm in a public ceremony.

During the swearing in ceremony a governor-elect takes and subscribes to the oath or affirmation of office as prescribed in the First Schedule section of the Assumption of the Office of Governor Act 2019
Already Chief Justice Martha Koome has appointed 47 judges to preside over the swearing-in of governors across the country.
At the same time the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is required to gazette the names of the governor-elect and their deputies to pave way for the swearing in ceremony.
If no petitions are filed to stop the swearing in, then 45 counties will have new administrations in office by 2PM on Thursday
Elections in the counties of Mombasa and Kakamega were postponed to a later date.
