Family and Friends’ Tribute for the Kenyan

Devastated by the sudden loss, her family and friends poured out their tributes during her memorial service.

Her sister Lornah Nyakundi, who moved to the US eulogized her as a kind and lovely person who impacted the life of everyone she met.

In tears, Lornah narrated that her sister facilitated her move to the US with the hope of changing her life for the better.

“I am trying to accept the fact that she is not hear but I don’t know where to start. She was everything to me. When I couldn’t see anything, she was there to hold me. I have lost someone that I can never replace.

“She believed in me when I had nothing. She invited me to the US when she was getting her citizenship and wanted me to make something out of this opportunity. We would have teamed up and done something together,” said Lorna.

On the other hand, Leah’s husband Denis shared that it was difficult to move on without her, saying that he wished he could bring her back.

Although he was yet to accept what had happened, he appreciated the nine years they had spent together, adding that their children will miss her.

“I will miss my wife so much. It is a hard moment for us, and this did not have to happen. I know life will never be the same again and no one can fit her shoes.

“We have gone through life together for about nine years and I wish I could ask her not to go. Wherever you are Leah, know that I love you and I miss the time we spent together.

“Everything has turned cold without you, and I wish I could bring you back. I know it will be difficult for our babies, but I know you will always be with them,” he said.
