Trizah Muhenje, 23, Miss World Kenya from Matunda Municipality in Nzoia Ward, Kakamega County, jetted out of the country to represent Kenya at the Miss World Festival in Vietnam.
In a statement on August 8, Likuyani Constituency MP Innocent Mugabe confirmed Trizah Muhenje had been flagged off as she prepared to represent Kenya at the international festival.
Mugabe said Muhenje was carrying the beauty, hopes, culture, talent and inspiring stories of Likuyani to the global stage.
“We proudly flagged off Trizah Muhenje, Miss World Kenya, as she heads to Vietnam to represent our country at the Miss World Festival. Trizah carries more than the Kenyan flag. She carries the beauty, hopes, culture, talent and inspiring stories of Likuyani to the global stage. We are immensely proud of you, Trizah. Go forth with confidence, fly the Likuyani and Kenya’s flag high, and make us proud,” the MP said.
Earlier on, Muhenje was also flagged off by Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja before her departure for Vietnam.

In a statement shared on August 7, Muhenje expressed gratitude for the support and said she was beginning her journey to Vietnam to represent Kenya on the world stage.
She said every mile of her journey was for Kenya and every moment on stage would be dedicated to the country.
“As I begin my journey to Vietnam, I do so with immense gratitude after being officially flagged off by the Governor of Nairobi County, Hon. Johnson Sakaja. Every mile I travel is for us, and every moment on that stage will be for Kenya,” Trizah Muhenje shared.
Who Is Trizah Muhenje? Education and Career Background
Trizah Muhenje attended Kitale School before pursuing higher education at the Co-operative University of Kenya.
She graduated with a degree in Tourism Management and is an alumna of the Co-operative University of Kenya.
According to her official Miss World profile, Muhenje has worked in marketing and event management after completing her studies. Her professional background combines tourism-related training with experience in events and marketing.
Trizah Muhenje previously competed in the Miss World Kenya competition, where she was named first runner-up in the 2024/2025 edition before becoming Miss World Kenya 2026.

As Miss World Kenya 2026, Muhenje represents Kenya internationally through the Miss World platform and participates in activities connected to social and community causes.

Muhenje has also participated in a Karura Forest conservation initiative, supporting efforts to promote environmental conservation.
