The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has announced extension of the online registration deadline for aspirants and voters participating in phase 1 of the grassroots elections.
The National Elections Board (NEB) of the UDA, led by Chairman Eng. Anthony Mwaura issued a public notification urging individuals from specific counties to utilize the extended deadline.
“It is notified for general information that the UDA has extended the online registration portal in respect of the Counties in phase 1 of the Grassroots election to 23 April 2024,” read UDA statement in part.
Further, the counties included in this phase are Nairobi, Narok, West-Pokot, Busia, and Homabay.
Registration Details
Notably, aspirants and voters within these regions are encouraged to take advantage of the extended registration period, which now stretches to April 23, 2024.
To register, individuals are directed to visit the official UDA website at app.uda.ke/grassroot.

“We encourage all eligible aspirants and voters to take advantage of the extended deadline,” stated UDA statement.
Once a voter or aspirant has logged into the online registration portal, they are instructed to follow the provided guidelines for completing the registration process.
In addition, UDA through its Chairman, indicated that the opportunity is open to all eligible aspirants and voters within the specified counties.

UDA Outlines Sensitization Session Across Counties
Ahead of Phase 1 of the UDA Grassroots Elections set to take place on April 26, 2024, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has scheduled a series of sensitization sessions to its members and aspirants.
These sessions, announced by the National Elections Board (NEB) on April 18, aim to provide registered aspirants, elected leaders, and nominated leaders with essential knowledge and understanding of the election process.
“By fostering an open dialogue, the UDA seeks to address any inquiries or concerns that participants may have, ensuring comprehensive awareness and preparedness for the upcoming elections,” reads the NEB statement.
Further, schedule for these sessions will be tailored to accommodate participants from various counties.
In Nairobi, sessions will be organized by constituency, with specific time slots allocated for each area.

Similarly, sessions will be arranged in Homabay, West Pokot, Narok, and Busia counties, giving participants opportunities to engage in the sensitization process.
With the portal set to close at 6:00 pm on April 23, 2024, individuals are urged to act promptly to avoid missing the deadline.
The NEB reassures participants that the registration process is straightforward and accessible, with support available for those who may encounter any difficulties.
