Ukrainian Special Forces launched a targeted operation in Russian-occupied Crimea, destroying a Russian S-400 “Triumf” mobile surface-to-air missile launcher and an ammunition depot belonging to the Russian 18th Army.
On November 8, 2025, footage emerged showing Ukrainian Special Forces operators from the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems “Birds of the Magyar” using FPV drones to strike and eliminate Russian infantry in a frontline assault.
The video, circulated by Ukrainian military channels, shows precise drone attacks on exposed enemy positions, highlighting the effectiveness of the operation.
Ukrainian Deadly Attack
This operation was conducted on October 6, 2025. It involved coordination between the “Birds of the Magyar,” Deep Strike units, and Resistance elements of the Special Operations Forces (SOF).
It also targeted a Russian S-400 “Triumf” mobile surface-to-air missile launcher and an ammunition depot in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Intelligence gathered through special reconnaissance identified the locations of the enemy arsenal and the air-defence site near Simferopol and Yevpatoria.

SOF drones executed precision strikes, neutralising key military assets used by Russian forces to target Ukrainian territory.
Russia’s military has continued to incur substantial losses in the ongoing war against Ukraine, with Kyiv reporting that Russian troop casualties have surpassed 1.14 million.
According to a recent report by The Kyiv Independent, Russia had lost one million soldiers and 428 planes as of November 6, 2025, as Ukraine takes a new course in the war.
The report indicated that Russia’s estimated losses stand at 1,147,740 personnel, with 1,170 additional casualties reported in the latest update.
The number of destroyed Russian aircraft remains at 428 planes and 346 helicopters, underscoring significant losses to its airpower.

Ukraine reports that Russia has also lost 11,329 tanks and 23,541 armoured fighting vehicles, with six more AFVs added in the latest count.
Ground equipment losses continue to rise, with 66,658 vehicles and fuel tankers destroyed, increasing to 84.
Russian artillery systems have now sustained a total of 34,288 losses, with 15 additional cases recorded. Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) remain unchanged at 1,535.
Unmanned systems have also suffered major setbacks, with 78,430 drones reportedly down, representing a 172% increase in losses. Cruise missile losses are unchanged at 3,918, while anti-aircraft systems remain at 1,237.
Specialised equipment losses have reached 3,991, with one additional unit reported. Naval losses remain constant, with 28 warships/boats and one submarine destroyed.
