Elijah Ogoti Obaga is a Judge of the Environment and Land Court, appointed to the post in 2012, with over 26 years of experience in the legal profession. The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) shortlisted Ogoti among 35 candidates for the position of Court of Appeal Judge.
He was elected as the Presiding Judge of the ELC in 2022 and had been appointed as a Senior Resident Magistrate in 2004, later rising to the rank of Senior Principal Magistrate while serving in Nairobi, Busia, Kakamega, and Kerugoya.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi, earned in 1994.

Ogoti has a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, which he attained in 1996.
In 1996, Elij Ogoti was admitted to the Roll of Advocates.

He has been the Judge of the Environment and Land Court since 2012.
From 2004 to 2012, he served in the Magistracy.
