Hedwig Ong’undi Imbosa is a Judge of the Court of Appeal, effective January 27, 2026. President William Ruto appointed Justice Ong’undi, along with 14 others shortlisted by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). Prior to her appointment, she was a High Court Judge.
In April 2025, she led a delegation of High Court judges to the Shimo La Tewa Prison to review case files, resulting in the release of 69 inmates.
She has served as the Presiding Judge in the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division, Civil Division, and the Constitutional and Human Rights Division at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi, which she earned in 1984.

In 1985, Ong’undi was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Law and was admitted to the Roll of Advocates in the same year.
