A man in Nairobi has been charged with attempted rape after he was found naked at a house where an elderly woman was relaxing
He was also charged with another count of committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to the Sexual Offences Act.
He denied that charges before Kibera senior principal magistrate, Esther Boke.
The court heard that the accused person committed the offence on August 27 at Wilson Airport without the victim’s consent.
According to court papers, two men had visited the victim at her house when they walked in on the accused person while on top of the victim naked.
They arrested him and took him to Wilson Airport chief’s camp but not before members of the public beat him outside the house.
The court heard that while at the chief’s camp, they were advised to take the accused person to Akilla police station.
Court papers state that no evidence of rape was found during the medical examination on the victim.
The accused denied any wrongdoing and pleaded for lenient bond terms.
He was released on a Sh500, 000 bond with no cash bail.
The case will be mentioned on September 13 .
