Police in Kirinyaga are holding three women for allegedly stupefying and robbing a Catholic nun.

He said the trio approached the nun while she was on a shopping spree at a nearby market.
One of the women masqueraded as a pastor asking for help.

She convinced the nun to get into the vehicle so that they could discuss the issue at length.
It is reported that a search was conducted after the nun’s driver discovered that she was missing.

The Catholic nun was however found dropped near the church confused.
Agitated residents with the help of the boda boda riders trailed the suspects’ vehicle.
They apprehended the suspects before handing them over to the police.
The nun is in charge of a local primary school at Muthithi ward, Mwea West
She is reported to have been robbed of Ksh17,000.
Following the incident, Mang’ira cautioned residents against such individuals who lure their victims before robbing them.
“We are calling on members of the public to be cautious when they come across such sweet talkers who are out to rob them of money and other valuables,” he stated.
