Adani whistleblower Nelson Amenya has launched a fundraising campaign to help cover legal fees for multiple lawsuits linked to his exposé on the JKIA Adani deal.
In a statement, on Saturday, November 2, Amenya urged Kenyans to assist with his legal expenses.
“If you’d like to support my legal fee here in France, please use GoFundMe link or M-Pesa number,” the Adani whistleblower appealed.
On his fundraising page, Amenya said that he has been sued for revealing details about the Adani Group’s dealings in Kenya.
Amenya mentions people who have sued him
“I am facing defamation lawsuits after exposing the Adani Group’s controversial dealings in Kenya, which amount to nearly 500 billion KES (about 3.3 billion USD). These deals place the Adani Group at the center of state capture, threatening the well-being of the Kenyan people and echoing the negative impacts seen in India,” Amenya said.

Amenya also mentioned that, beyond Adani Group’s lawsuits, he is facing legal actions from other prominent figures.
“I am also facing lawsuits from Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and anticipate another from the PR firm Oxygéne, involved in efforts to sanitize the Adani Group’s reputation,” he added.
Appealing to the public, Amenya called on Kenyans to support his fight for truth and accountability.

“This fight is not mine alone; it is ours as the people of the great Republic of Kenya. To defend against these powerful interests, I need help with legal fees. Your contributions will not only support my fight but also uphold the values of truth and accountability in our country,” Amenya noted.
Amenya has been a strong critic of the proposed projects that the Adani Group plans to undertake in the country.
