The Kenya Railway Corporation (KRC) has cautioned the public about fake job advertisements circulating on social media platforms.
According to a statement dated Monday, December 29, 2025, the authority urged job seekers to exercise caution and verify all job adverts on the official KRC website.
“We wish to alert members of the public about a fake job advertisement going around on various social media platforms,” read part of their statement.
“We strongly advise job seekers to be cautious and verify any job adverts through our website: http://krc.co.k,” read the statement.
The fake advert lists multiple positions, including Sales & Marketing Manager, Legal Services Manager, Data Entry Clerk, Cleaner, Driver, and Receptionist.
Details of the Fake Advertisement on Kenya Railways Job Vacancies
Kenya Railway stated that the job advert, which claims to be from Kenya Railways Corporation, lists multiple positions, including Sales & Marketing Manager, Legal Services Manager, Data Entry Clerk, Cleaner, Driver, and Receptionist.
According to the Corporation, the advert urged interested candidates to send their applications to an unofficial email address, castafrican.staffingizoutlook.com, which has no connection with Kenya Railways.

The authority highlighted that these listings are entirely fake and warned job seekers not to respond or provide personal information and always to verify vacancies through official channels.
How to Verify Kenya Railways Job Vacancies
To verify Kenya Railways’ job vacancies, an individual should check the Official Website, specifically the Kenya Railways Corporation website (www.krc.co.ke), in the careers section.
Also One can look for Gazette/Official Media since genuine vacancies are published in official government gazettes or major newspapers, not just social media.
