The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has announced exclusive Boxing Day group offers for Kenyan citizens to explore the country’s national parks, sanctuaries, and marine parks.
In a statement on Friday, December 26, KWS announced that this offer will run until December 31, 2025. The promotions include free entries for children and adults, as well as special accommodation deals.
Free Entry Deals for Families and Groups
Under the initiative, families of five visiting sanctuaries and marine parks will enjoy free entry for one child aged 6 to 17.
For every five passengers in a 5-seater car, one child will enter the parks free.
In addition, KWS explained that larger groups arriving in a full 25-seater bus will receive two adults free entry, while those travelling in 7-seater vans or 8-seater Land Cruisers will receive free entry for one adult.
The body in charge of national parks in Kenya also noted that the offers apply to Kenyan citizens only.

System Kenyans Will Use to Pay for Park Access
In early November 2025, KWS announced a new system for paying park access fees.
The new system is designed to enhance the experience of visitors booking and paying for conservation fees and other KWS services.
The agency announced that the new system, effective from 6:00 p.m. on November 1, 2025, replaces the old eCitizen platform and introduces a “seamless, enhanced, and flexible” payment process for both local and international users.
According to KWS Director General Prof. Erustus Kanga, the transition addresses concerns raised by tourism stakeholders and the public regarding the efficiency and convenience of the previous system.
The new KWSPay platform will offer multiple payment options, including Mpesa, bank cards, bank transfers, and eWallets.
The KWSPay system integrates multiple upgrades to align with modern financial technologies and the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) regulations.
All transactions will now include a monthly dollar ($) exchange rate, reviewed regularly in line with CBK rates.
