Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has called on retired President Uhuru Kenyatta to respect President William Ruto and accept that he won the presidential elections.
“Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta must respect President William Ruto and accept that he won the Elections. This country is bigger than Uhuru and his personal interests.” Reads part of CS Kuria’s tweet.
The CS declared that he is ready to personally defend the President from both political and physical attacks.
“I’ll personally defend and safeguard this government as I did to my fellow constituency mate when he was the president. The Mt Kenya region is both a great shareholder and beneficiary of this government and we won’t take the nonsense anymore.” He added.

Kuria’s remarks came amid claims that Uhuru Kenyatta played a huge role in organizing last Friday’s Saba Saba anti-government protests led by Azimio coalition leaders.
The Trade CS had earlier insinuated that the protest was Uhuru’s brainchild meant to keep opposition chief Raila Odinga out of the streets.
“I really like this 10 million signatures thing. It is Uhuru’s way of keeping Raila busy and out of the streets,” he noted.
