Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has dismissed reports alleging that there is a rift between President William Ruto and Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua over the shareholders narrative.
Appearing on Citizen TV, Mwaura emphasized that President Ruto and DP Gachagua are the same thing.
“I think it has been overplayed with a lot of misquoting,” said Mwaura.
Further, Isaac Mwaura urged the media not to create a difference between the two leaders like it did during the Jubilee second term.
“We saw it in the last regime, let the media not try to drive a wedge between the President and his deputy, they are one and the same,” stated Mwaura.
“Even today and in many other instances they are always together,” he added.
Additionally, the spokesperson dismissed reports of the cabinet being divided arguing that President Ruto and his deputy are reading from the same script.
Moreover, Mwaura said that Kenya belongs to all the citizens regardless of how they voted in the last general elections.
However, he explained that the people who have formed the government are those who share the vision of the Kenya Kwanza manifesto.
“For example, the people who were given opportunities to be in cabinet, to Principal Secretaries, they were part of the group that mobilized Kenyans to vote for President William Ruto,” he said.

Isaac Mwaura on Development
However, the Government Spokesperson stated that development is for all the citizens adding that even the president is embracing those who never voted for him to share their expertise in running the government.
“Development is for everyone, look at today Ksh.117 billion waved debt from the sugar industry that affects the Nyanza region for example. The stepping of the production of power from 2 to 8.6 megawatts in Gucha. These are progressive development projects that the president has done during his tour of that region, ” said Mwaura.
Furthermore, Isaac Mwaura said everyone deserves a share of development but running the government should be left to those who were part of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
“All of those people may not have voted for the president, but they are entitled to the share of development but when it comes to the issue of who runs the government, you need somebody who understands the manifesto,” argued Mwaura.

Mwaura on Kenya Kwanza Representation
Also, Mwaura said the Kenya Kwanza government is a representation of the whole country dismissing reports that only certain parts of the country are supporting the government.
He mentioned that UDA is a national party and that with other affiliate parties in Kenya Kwanza gives the government a national phase.
“One of the things President Ruto was emphasizing during his campaign is that we must stop this politics of regionalism and fight tribalism and we scored very well more than any other election,” he said.
Also, Isaac Mwaura explained that the government belongs to nobody since the positions are temporary.
