The Kenya Kwanza presidential flag bearer Deputy President William Ruto while speaking on Monday, May 30 at Kajiado County stated that Azimio la Umoja Coalition has no clue about what ails Kenya.
While selling his Bottom Up Economic Model agenda in the region, the deputy president said Kenyans should vote for his outfit because they understand the problems facing the country.
“Azimio has the wrong diagnosis of what ails Kenya. They are still stuck with the three challenges identified in 1963: Ignorance, disease and poverty,” Ruto said.
He then pointed out that the greatest challenges facing Kenya are unemployment and how to start and grow a business. Moreover, the other challenge he added to the list of what ails Kenya is inequality, stating that there is a section of Kenya’s population that is very wealthy and an overwhelming majority that is grossly poor
“Big businesses can access credit at 10-15 per cent interest rate year, while millions of small businesses pay between whooping 2,000 and 3,000 per cent.” Added the DP.
Furthermore, William Ruto noted that in the health sector, the main issue is not the disease but the cost of treating it. He mentioned that despite huge advances being made in the healthcare sector, treatment costs have also risen exponentially.
According to Ruto, Azilio la Umoja Alliance has the wrong diagnosis and no idea of how to deal with the problems facing Kenya. In his speech, he said the real problem lies in leadership that has no clue on how to deal with issues facing the 21st century Kenya.
