U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has sparked online debate by suggesting that Israel may have been involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (JFK), citing his opposition to the country’s nuclear program.
In a statement dated Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that President Kennedy was killed because he resisted Israel’s nuclear ambitions.
“There was once a great president that the American people loved. He opposed Israel’s nuclear program. And then he was assassinated,” said the congresswoman.

Greene, who has been critical of President Donald Trump’s administration for its handling of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, was responding to Fox News host Mark Levin. Levin had claimed that Trump had ignored Greene’s stance and proceeded with strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
“Thankfully, POTUS ignored you and hit the Iranian nuclear sites. You seem very upset about it. I’m not going away. You’re on my radar,” Levin wrote.

Responding to Levin’s comments, Greene said sarcastically that she would now tread carefully, implying that taking a stance against the Israel-Iran conflict could put her at risk, just as she claims it did for President Kennedy.
“I will do my best to pray for you. But I will be watchful now,” she said.
She further reiterated her position against wars, stating:
“I oppose war, including wars that Israel wages. Should I feel that my life is in danger now too? What about President Trump, who strongly rebuked Israel this morning for continuing to attack Iran?”

Greene also criticised Levin’s remarks as “sick and disturbing,” and invoked a biblical message of peace in her response.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God. Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus is the one and only son of God. Jesus was put to death on a Roman cross and died as a one-time sacrifice for our sins.”
“Jesus is the lamb of God. You can read about Jesus in Isaiah 53:5–12. Jesus will return one day, and those that did not recognize him will mourn,” she wrote.

Her comments come amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran. On June 24, 2025, President Trump expressed frustration with both nations for violating a ceasefire he had brokered.
He said, “They don’t know what they’re doing,” and criticized Israel for bombing a radar site near Tehran shortly after the agreement.

President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a motorcade. The Warren Commission later concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the killing. Oswald was arrested but was murdered two days later by Jack Ruby, sparking decades of conspiracy theories.
