Daniel Manduku Ogwoka is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Nyaribari Masaba Constituency under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Early life and education
Daniel Manduku was born and raised in Kisii County, where he undertook his early education before pursuing higher studies.
His academic journey began in architecture, a field he pursued with determination at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) between 1990 and 1996, earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
From 2010 to 2011, he enrolled at the United States International University–Africa (USIU-A) in partnership with Columbia University, where he successfully completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
His passion for research and policy led him to return to USIU-A for a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA), which he completed between 2014 and 2016.

Daniel Ogwoka Manduku embarked on a professional journey that spanned both private practice and senior management in public service.
From 1997 to 2000, he worked as a Graduate Architect at the Ministry of Public Works, where he gained firsthand experience in designing and supervising public projects nationwide.
In 2000, he transitioned into private practice and established his own architectural consultancy firm, which he successfully operated for over a decade.
Manduku’s career took a national turn in 2012, when he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the National Construction Authority (NCA).
In this role, he oversaw the regulation and development of Kenya’s construction industry till he left in 2018.
Following his tenure at the NCA, Manduku was appointed Managing Director of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in 2018.

Although his term at KPA was marked by internal disputes and his eventual resignation in 2020, his role underscored his prominence as a technocrat with experience in managing some of Kenya’s largest state corporations.

Daniel Ogwoka Manduku transitioned into active politics, seeking to bring his managerial expertise into the legislative arena.
In the 2022 general election, he contested for the Nyaribari Masaba parliamentary seat on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket and successfully won.
His campaign centred on improving infrastructure, enhancing education opportunities, and strengthening economic empowerment programs in Kisii County.
As a Member of the National Assembly, he became actively involved in parliamentary work, representing his constituents in debates and participating in committee oversight.
