Dubai International Airport has reported a massive explosion on March 1, after Iran launched a new wave of strikes hours after its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was confirmed dead.
According to Dubai Media Office, Dubai Airports confirms that a concourse at Dubai International (DXB) sustained minor damage in an incident, which was quickly contained.

Emergency response teams were immediately deployed to manage the situation in coordination with relevant authorities.
Four airport staff sustained injuries and received prompt medical attention.
Further, they confirmed that most terminals had already been cleared of passengers under existing contingency plans, minimizing risk to travelers.

Dubai Airports stated that further updates would be provided as more information becomes available.

Drone Interception at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Airport Causes One Death and Seven Injuries
Earlier reports from Abu Dhabi airports indicate that one person has died and seven have been injured after an “incident” at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed airport.
Authorities in Abu Dhabi responded to the incident at Zayed International Airport after a drone targeting the airport was intercepted.
As confirmed, debris from the interception caused the death of an Asian national and injured seven others.
“The interception led to falling debris, which resulted in one fatality of an Asian national and seven injuries,” the statement confirmed.
Abu Dhabi Airports urged the public to avoid spreading rumours and rely only on official information, noting that updates would be provided as the situation developed.
