Congregants at the Nyabigena Adventist Church in Kisii were involved in a fight leaving over 10 members nursing injuries.
In a video seen by The Kenya Times, two men and two women were seen forcing a woman who is seated to get up while slapping her, showing their aggression as she appears frightened and helpless.
Meanwhile, two men are exchanging blows, with one of them being knocked down and struggling to get back on his feet, while the others continue to throw punches.
Further, as the chaos unfolds, the air is filled with screams and shouts from the congregation, who are rushing to leave the church in a panic. Some members are also seen grabbing chairs and throwing them at each other, adding to the confusion and fear.
At the same time, some members were captured lifting chairs and throwing them at each other, creating a scene of confusion and panic in what was meant to be a peaceful gathering.
Onlookers were later seen rushing to help those who were injured, trying to restore some sense of order amidst the turmoil.

The video which has quickly gone viral on social media caught the attention of many Kenyans online, who are sharing messages that show how disappointed they are about what happened.
“When religion becomes a business, fighting becomes inevitable,” a user on X (Twitter) Luqman Makarani commented.

“I am a Seventh Day Adventist, and I am sad to see this. I pray for peace in that church,” he wrote.
