Kenyan comedians plan to honor the late comedian and entertainer Fred Omondi in a special edition of Churchill show at the Carnivore grounds.
The event dubbed Fred Omondi last laugh All Stars will be held at the Carnivore Simba Salon on June 21.
In a social media post on June 18, veteran comedian Daniel Ndambuki also known as Churchill confirmed the event and disclosed more details on it.
“This Friday at Carnivore!! From 6pm. So many things are happening so soon. Sad. But this Friday…. Let’s do it for Freddy, like never before. We shall all be there, see you soon,” the statement read.
The event is aimed at honoring the late comedian and entertainer Fred Omondi who passed away in a tragic accident on June 15, 2024.
Kenyan Comedians to Honor Fred Omondi
The one more laugh for Fred will have a lineup featuring some of the big names in the entertainment and comedy industry.
Attendees will include his former friends and colleagues from the Churchill Show, such as Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalas, Terence Creative, Mammito, Nasra, Professor Hamo, MC Antonio, Noriega, Jemutai, and Chipukeezy.
Other performers include Butita, Sammy Kioko, Tom Daktari, Sleepy Davvy, Teacher Wanjiku, Kreative Generation, Rib Crackers, Malboro, DJ Shiti, Captain Otoyo, MCA Tricky, Jasper Murume, Oga Obinna, and Adhis Jojo.

Fred Omondi Rise to fame
Fred rose to fame through his performances at the Churchill Show, hosted and run by Daniel Ndambuki.
After his time at the show, he transitioned to a freelance career, where he hosted events and emceed at a variety of entertainment venues.
In a past interview, Fred attributed the start of his career in the entertainment industry to his older brother Eric Omondi.
However, he shared his desire to carve out a niche for himself in comedy, aiming to avoid depending too much on his brother, who was already a well-known figure.
“People used to call me Eric’s brother and it really pissed me off, but I created my own niche and nowadays they call me Fred Omondi. All I can say is that I am okay, and everything is going as planned,” he said in a past interview.

Fred Omondi
Omondi, brother to famed comedian and media personality, Eric Omondi, died in a tragic road accident along Kangundo Road in Nairobi on Saturday morning, June 15, 2024.
According to a police report, the former Churchill Show comedian was riding on a motorcycle when a Forward Sacco bus headed towards the Central Business District (CBD) from Kayole estate collided head on with the motorcycle headed in the opposite direction.
Consequently, Fredrick died on the spot from the impact, while Stephen Maina, who was riding the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital.
