The National Council of Churches Kenya (NCCK) has slammed President William Ruto for insinuating that foreign powers were behind the current wave of protests in the country.
In a media interview, the council’s General secretary Canon Chris Kinyanjui said there were no foreign bodies funding the protests and that the unrest was a result of a punitive government.
“From my own assessment and looking at the people I do not think there are foreign forces funding the protests.
How did we come here, we reached here because we have a govt that does not listen to his people or to those that can advise it in the right direction,” claimed Chris Kinyanjui.
