Vera Sidika Mung’asia is one of Kenya’s most recognized socialites, entrepreneurs, and media personalities.
She was born on September 30, 1989, in Mombasa, as the firstborn and only daughter in a family of three.

Education
Vera spent her early years in Mombasa, where she attended M.M. Shah and M.V. Shah Academy before transferring to Star of the Sea Primary School.
She later joined Star of the Sea High School, where she completed her secondary education.
She enrolled at Kenyatta University in Nairobi to pursue a degree in Art and Design, but dropped out to focus on her career.

Vera Sidika rose to fame in 2012 after featuring as a video vixen in P-Unit’s hit song “You Guy”, which instantly put her into the limelight.
Her bold personality quickly made her a household name.
She went on to appear in several other music videos while building her reputation as a model and entertainer.
By 2015, she was crowned Best Video Vixen at the Pulse Music Video Awards, cementing her place in the entertainment industry.
Sidika later transitioned into entrepreneurship. In 2018, she launched the Vera Sidika Beauty Parlor, offering services such as pedicures, manicures, facials, and salon treatments.
Initially based in Nairobi, the business relocated to Nyali, Mombasa, in 2022 before closing when she returned to Nairobi to focus on other ventures.

In 2015, Vera was cast in Nairobi Diaries, a reality show aired on K24 TV that followed the lives of Kenyan socialites.

In 2023, she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Nairobi on Showmax, a reality show that highlighted the careers, relationships, and lifestyles of influential women.
Her fellow cast members included Sonal Maherali, Lisa Christoffersen, and Minnie Kariuki.

Personal Life
Vera Sidika’s personal life has frequently been subject to public scrutiny. She was previously in relationships with Nigerian businessman Yommy Johnson, Kenyan artist Otile Brown, and Tanzanian doctor and musician Jimmy Chansa.
In 2020, she married Kenyan musician Brown Mauzo. The couple had two children together: Asia Brown, born on October 20, 2021, and Ice Brown, born on March 3, 2023.
However, the two separated in August 2023, with Mauzo publicly announcing their split.
Despite the separation, they continue to co-parent their children amicably.

Vera Sidika’s influence has earned her several accolades. In 2015, she won Best Video Vixen at the Pulse Music Video Awards.
She later bagged the Celebrity Sensation of the Year award at the Africa Women’s Awards in 2023. Most recently, in 2025, she was crowned Top Female Reality TV Star at the Africa Golden Awards.
