Members of the National Assembly are set to start their one week-long induction workshop in the city on Sunday, September 18.
While delivering his acceptance speech, speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula said that the retreat will take place at the Safari Park Hotel.
The induction will end on Saturday, September 24.
Moreover, Wetangula stated that the induction retreat will serve as an excellent opportunity for MPs to thoroughly familiarize themselves with their mandate, the parliamentary processes, and the secrets and tools that will give them a head-start in serving the electorate.
Likewise, the induction usually targets MPs who have made it to Parliament for the first time.
Nevertheless, during the retreat, the lawmakers are taken through the legislative process such as how to sponsor Bills, bring petitions, and issue personal statements.
Furthermore, the induction is usually conducted by senior parliamentary officers handling different matters in the House.
