Comedian Dr Ofweneke has finally let out the main reason why most Burna Boy fans will have to wait a little longer to see the star in the country.
The last time Nigerian star Burna Boy was in Kenya was in 2018 and did not impress many with his performance.
Well, even with that, his Kenyan fans have been craving him, especially after his star shone even brighter thanks to his many big moves in the world of entertainment.
It is because of that particular reason that a random tweep took to the bird App and asked Kenyan promoters to fly in Burna Boy since his fans, including himself, are willing to pay as much as KSh 10,000 for tickets to his shows.
”Any event organiser who can bring Burna Boy to Kenya? Mahn, I am willing to pay KSh 10,000 for a regular ticket. I just want to see him perform,” the tweep posed.
Well, in a quick rejoinder, comedian Dr Ofweneke who also doubles up as an events organiser disclosed why it would be an uphill task to bring Burna Boy to Kenya.
The Dr Ofweneke Tonight host revealed that Burna Boy charged an arm and a leg for shows outside his country, making it difficult for promoters to book him in their respective countries.
According to Dr Ofweneke, he previously got in touch with Burna Boy’s manager who is his mother, and was shocked when she informed him that the musician charges KSh 70 million for a single show, yes you heard right.

”Weeeh! Tried reaching out to the mum for a new year’s event…. he is now charging KSh 70 million.” Ofweneke revealed.
The rates shook many Kenyans who admitted indeed Burna Boy is talented but the amount is just obnoxious.

Burna Boy has been to Kenya twice and the first time was not good after he decided to insult Kenyans for complaining about his performance.
It should be noted the singer in April 2017 angered fans at Club Privee in Westlands when he showed up for his performance at 3.00 am and performed just for an hour.
This irked many who took to social media to call him out, and in return, they were shown the middle finger.
