President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that recovery efforts are ongoing in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipro regions after Putin’s overnight drone attack.
Rescue teams, firefighters, medics, and local authorities are working around the clock to stabilize damaged infrastructure, evacuate civilians, and restore essential services.
Putin Launches 1,000 Attack Drones
In a post via X, President Zelensky revealed the scale of the attack on Ukraine. “Overall, last night the Russians launched more than 170 drones against Ukraine, at least half of them “Shaheds.” And throughout this entire week, the Russians launched nearly 1,000 attack drones, almost 980 guided aerial bombs, and 36 missiles,” Zelensky noted.

Zelensky added that the attack targets their people. He also emphasized that each nightly attack requires a “multi-component air defense,” involving missile systems, fighter aircraft, and mobile anti-drone teams in response to the attacks.
New Security Agreements with Europe
President Zelensky also announced that Ukraine has prepared new security and air defense agreements with European partners, praising the country’s diplomatic efforts. The agreement, together with the European partners, aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defense in the skies, enable the ability to counter missile threats, and boost diplomatic cooperation.

Putin has also increased its dependence on the ‘Shaheds’ made in Iran because they are cheap in production and can be launched in large. This highlights the urgency of the agreement between the European partners and Ukraine.
Ukrainian Drone Attacks Kill Nearly 400 in Russia 2025
Russia’s foreign ministry acknowledged that Ukrainian drone attacks inside Russian territory have resulted in “around 392” deaths so far in 2025.
Pro-Kremlin newspaper Izvestia attributed the tally to Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large responsible for documenting alleged Ukrainian war crimes.
“From the beginning of the year to the end of October, 3,205 people were injured in drone attacks, including 195 minors. A total of 392 people were killed, 22 of them children,” Izvestia quoted Miroshnik as saying.
Miroshnik also claimed that in the broader context of civilian casualties since the full-scale invasion, the figures for Russian civilians stood at “7,100 killed and more than 17,600 injured” since 2022.
He added that in 2025, drone attacks accounted for around 80% of those injured or killed,” with drone-related casualties increasing by about 33% between July and September.
