Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, officiated the official closing ceremony of the General Service Unit (GSU) Recruit Course No. 1A/2025 at the National Police College–Magadi Field Campus, marking the end of their arduous tactical field training phase.

Addressing the recruits, senior commanders, local leaders, and members of the surrounding community, DIG Lagat commended the cohort for enduring the extreme heat, rugged terrain, and demanding conditions that characterise the Magadi campus.

Throughout the nine-month training program, which transitions from foundational studies at Embakasi Campus to high-intensity tactical operations at Magadi, the recruits were equipped with survival skills, endurance, weapon-handling proficiency, and tactical discipline.
